PR application rejected without reason or when to re-apply
PR application rejected without reason or when to re-apply
My wife PR application was rejected without any reason or when to re-apply.
Anybody has the same kind of reject letter as mine? What did you do?
I wanted to appeal, just go to my MP to say my situation, then they just write a letter to ICA, correct me if i am wrong.
My wife is PRC, i am Singaporean.
Relocated back to SG last Aug-10 with my wife.
We ROM in Sep-11. The short term pass and long term visit pass are smooth.
We submit our application in May-11.
I also change my job in late May-11, salary did increased.
I want to know how to appeal and how long that takes?
Hopefully there is somebody out there who used to have the same situation to tell me your story.

Just a suggestion, you can apply for LTSVP and after a year apply for apply for PR for her again.lighter1 wrote:My wife PR application was rejected without any reason or when to re-apply.

Secondly, when she applied in May she applied under the Spouse Sponsor Scheme? If yes you had your ROM only in Sep-11 then applied in May -11?
Wait for some time (1-1.5 years) and then apply again? Good Luck

Re: PR application rejected without reason or when to re-app
You need to look at the dates you've quoted above as they make no sense at all. I'm guessing your ROM was actually Sep-10? If this is the case the most likely reason for rejection is you had only been married for 8 months or so. The general rule is wait until you've been married for at least 2 years before applying for PR. Applying for PR so soon after ROM, especially for wives from certain countries, just sets off alarm bells with the ICA as a "Marriage of Convenience"lighter1 wrote:My wife PR application was rejected without any reason or when to re-apply.

Also, MP letter are not a good idea as the ICA don't like MPs meddling in their business.

MP's & Lawyers are both no-no's with ICA. I know! Cost me almost 3 years!Saint wrote:

PRship is not a given right although she is married to a local.
Where did you get the notion that once she is married to you, six month down the road , the PR is a guarranteed thing. If you have this notion then you are in for a rude shock.
Be patient, you are licky she is given an LTSVP. Some cases only short term visa.
Wait a little longer.

No clue about Vaucluse ..
But if it occasionally occurs, it's a bi-product of not being willing to live under a tyranny of the hyper-sensitive.
