Rhinoplasty with Dr. Hsu in Taiwan ~ Nov 2012 ~ Anyone else?

Post by Hawaii50Beauty » Tue, 04 Oct 2011 1:53 am

Hey,

I will be traveling to Taiwan from the mainland USA (even though my user name is Hawaii Five-O, Lol!!) to see Dr. Ryan Hsu for rhinoplasty in November 2012 (yes, next year.) I do not speak Chinese so if you do, that would be great! :D We can meet up for lunch, shopping, coffee or sightseeing.

Not sure on the exact dates yet but I've been emailing Dr. Hsu for the past year (a few emails here and there throughout the year) and he has been great with responding. I like how he builds really strong bridges and balances out facial features. I have some of my Dad's large & round Hawaiian-looking eyes and tan skin but unfortunately inherited my Mom's very flat Southeast Asian nose.

I want a bigger/higher/wider bridge (a dramatic change), alar base narrowed and my tip projected and refined. I've never had any type of surgery on my face ... I think "bad" plastic surgery is very obvious and have been afraid to mess with my nose even though I've been self-conscious about it since I was a teenager. Your face is out there for the world to see (first impressions) and anything weird will and do become obvious for others. My worst nightmare would be to come out of surgery with a Michael Jacksonesque nose, NOOOOOOOO!!!!

Hi! I just had my nose job surgery by using my own rib cartilage and chin augmentation done by Dr Hsu on 29/9 last week. Today went for partly stitches removal and got to back again next Monday for final touch up. I would say the results was good but it still has to let it settle for at least 3 months to see the real results. To me, it's not about the surgery that you should concern but is how you take care yourself after 3 days off the surgery. That is the most crucial time. I was lucky enough that my friend introduce a girlfriend of her to take care of me during this period. Of cos, you got to pay her but it's really worth everything. Her name is Louisa and she can speak good English as she was studied is US before. My advice to you that if you can afford it, pls pls get a single room for yourself so that you can a good and peaceful rest and hired or get a caretaker. Louisa was staying with me during the first 4 days. Ist night was in the hospital and 2 nights in the hotel and she also company me for all the post surgery checkup. She is funny, honest, very very caring and fun to be. You may email me if you really someone to take care of you and I'm really glad I did it. I think it's will be a miserable journey if you have no body to take care as sometimes you might get depressed and pain so it will be good if you have a friend always by side. And you need to spend for at least 9 days here to complete the whole things before you can travel back home. Enjoy the journey to beautify yourself...

You will take HSR(high speed rail) from taoyuan to Zuoying station.
Then from Zuoying, u can take mrt str to kaoshiung. (they have a linked mrt line between these 2 places)

Hi Beelee,

I'd say it's from NT45000-NT140000. Cos I don't know what types of rhino surgery you interested in. They have many from using gore-tex to own cartilage range. So, it's depends on what you want...

Cheers!

Dear Terrie35,

Back to your question Terrie35,
Yes! I had done my eye surgery. I did mini incision. It's open ups 3 mini holes on my eye lid. I would say that so far, I'm satisfied with the results. I did it on Paria Cosmetic Beauty Centre in Kaohsiung. Their website is www.Paria.com.tw. I spent NT25,000 for my eye surgery. Some ppl might think it's on expensive side but to me, I think it's worth it cos I have visited few cosmetic surgery centre before and their charges is much cheaper but I don't find it that I can click with the surgeon. I think the most important is that you must find it that you can click well wit the surgeon. So, which is why I end up with Paria. They also offer many others cosmetic surgery. I think another cosmetic centre not bad either. They called Fabulous Beauty Clinic and website add is www.fabulous-clinic.com.tw. You can do some homework about them.

Cheers!

Hi Irene, just wondering if you have considered doing your rhinoplasty in Korea before? If you had, any specific reasons that you ended up choosing to do it in Taiwan?
