Board is Very Slow

When I was in Houston, Texas I could access this board with very good response times. Now that I am in Singapore, this board comes up so slowly that it is barely usable. I'm on a cable modem with StarHub, and most everything else is speedy.

Any idea why Singapore Expats is so slow now that I'm in town?

No, the board is still as slow as molasses from my connection. Fro example, it took more than 30 seconds from the time I selected the message in general discussion until the 'post reply' icon showed up and it still wasn't finished when I pressed the button.

Similarly, the reply page took more than 30 seconds to generate, including the submit button.

I like this board but I cannot wait 20 plus seconds to view a post. Hope you can figure this one out.

At least I don't get the message that I get if I try the "other" board... which is really OK since I don't want to patronize them.

Admin, the Board is still slow (30 secs).... is it because the pop up message from the "bank"?

It is not because of the popups from the bank .... (The ad will expire soon)

It is because of the number of users using this board con-currently ....
