7 days left before I move out from my current rental room in commonwealth.
Just go to the Small Claim Tribunal near China town, prepare for the worst and let myself know at least what should I do if my landlord refuse to refund my rental deposit.
it's quite positive that the officer told me even the receipt slip of rental deposit signed by landlord can be a proven evidence in the court. I am quite surprised that the filing fee for a case is just S$50, so cheap. It wouldn't be too costly to fight for justice in Singapore. And it will only take 2 weeks to schedule a hearing, that's really efficient. I will definitely go for legal action if the landlord going to piss me off.
anyone have experienced on rental deposit dispute and get it settled via SCT?
please share with us. Thanks!

$50? If you are a consumer it should be $10 for the claim not exceeding $5000 and $20 for more but less that $10000.

$50 for non-consumer. my rental deposit on hold by LL is S$420 only.
I don't know how did they define. But the officer told me my case should be a dispute not related to sales of goods/services.

is your rental refund very substantial? If so, better consult a lawyer.

fxman, are you as dumb as your flurry of senseless posts seem to indicate?
The post directly above your posts tell you. Most of your posts are the same.
If you don't learn to read the whole threads, you aren't gonna do very well in fx. guaranteed.
