It's funny that you insist you can get cabszzm9980 wrote:I'm still surprised when people say it is hard to get a cab. I never have too much trouble unless it is 1-2am. And even then, there are apps on the iPhone and Android for the two major vendors. Just use the app, pay the ~2.80 surcharge, and you have a cab in < 10 minutes. You can even use this to skip the long queue at a taxi stand. If you don't want to pay the surcharge though, can't help you...
Almost every day, between 9.00 to 9.30 or 10, even SMS booking responds extremely fast (which makes me wonder if they send the reply before even parsing the query) "SORRY, NO TAXIS AVAILABLE, PLEASE TRY 10 MINUTES LATER.
And likewise, the night delays are nominally atleast about 30 minutes, though, at 1 AM onwards, except in Clark Quay, never had issues ..
The issue is that the biggest taxi company is the one you are talking about, and it's that company whose service is extremely ineffective, including phone booking/sms booking ..
Holding the phone for 30 minutes is pretty normal ..
or do you live in Sin Ming, so that YOU ALWAYS get a cab ??
