can she apply for a job while on extension?

just wanna ask, say after i marry my Wife(a Divrocee from PRC with her small baby) here and got an extension whatsoever, can she find a job (not WP type ) but S-Pass or EP ? will it jeopardize her VisitPass? Reason is she is capable of working (she work under S-pass before, and EP approval before but didnt took up the last job the last time she was here and return home) and also she can stay longer here with me here in SG.

your pass depends upon the employer/salary/qualification .. not like you can choose ...

As for her not accepting the previous pass, that may make MOM wary ..

i didnt say it can be chosen, even if she capable of a EP, company still can employ her as SPass qualification...

Upto you to believe, but, from what I know, MOM takes a dim view on those who apply for pass and then decide not to take it up ..

for cases where submitted, IPA given, but not taken up ?

That's new to me .. I always thought they were not happy with those who cancel once IPA is issued .. sort of implying that the candidate is wasting MOM's time ..

They get antsy if you take up a job and almost immediately try to get another IPA for another job (job hopping like a local/PR)! Or apply for another IPA before cancelling the current one.


In this case, they haven't taken up any position yet.
