Singapore Citizenship Application - No Record Found

Post by cupcakez » Tue, 20 Sep 2011 9:58 pm

I applied for Singapore Citizenship about 8 months ago and have been keeping track of the status on ienquiry.ica.gov.sg the online website. It had been 'PENDING' all this time but today I noticed there is 'NO RECORD FOUND' under Citizenship Application. What does that mean? Does anyone has experience with this?

I think, had it been me, I'd have been on the phone or down to ICA immediately to find out why, rather than posting on an online forum where nobody could possibly know the inner workings of ICA....... #-o ](*,)

did you check the reference number you provided/name for any spelling/accuracy. That may be a reason.

What do you mean by this ? Do you have anything concrete advise other than speculate ?

OP , when you submitted citizenship application , you will definitely have a reference number. Go down to CAB on the second floor of ICA and demand proof of your application status

MS, what i meant is to check the reference provided and what was typed. I had a similar situation of "No record found..." when i was using iEnquiry for a Short Time Visa i applied for a friend. Only when i looked the Ref number entered - i actually had entered a wrong number. So my advice was to look at the that aspect - if he/she indeed enter the correct id/reference - then ofcourse contact the ICA asap.

Sorry, i wasn't as clear in the first try.

Before it gets worse

Before the OP gets stressed ..

iEnquiry doesn't include citizenship applications

Use https://esc.ica.gov.sg/esc/index.do with your singpass, and you will know the status ..

And if anybody says otherwise, let me know, I will prove you wrong :D :D

that was in jest and partially, I stand by it ..

Actually, it does

However, I checked the link you gave, and it is not found there. I wonder whether there are two separate systems, maybe one for offline application and another for online application?

Offline as in submitted personally at ICA Building.
Did you apply online using the e-SC?

To the OP:
You should call them asap. It happened before to someone I know (albeit PR Application), after sometime being "pending", one day iEnquiry just showed "not found". He called ICA and was told they "misplaced" the application and went looking for it. After one day (IIRC), they informed him the application has been found.

After that, another iEnquiry showed the status again, but with new application date and different reference.

Not weird, just a typical faux pas when one engages fingers/brain before checking facts. This happens a lot when the government is constantly changing systems to stay one step ahead of the vermin who want to enter the country under false pretenses. :P
