Apply for Singapore citizen and SPR for my wife

Post by Victormathavan » Tue, 20 Sep 2011 4:39 pm

Currently I am in SPR during past 4 yrs. Now I plan to apply for Citizenship. My current basic salary $3000/=. I have already married few months ago. But my wife is still working at Sri Lanka. She is to come singapore next year. I want to apply SPR for her also now, before she come here. Is it possible to apply together? anyone can advise to me?

Wait until your wife arrives in Singapore before submitting for PR, it maybe difficult to get for your wife at a later date, so better to wait and apply as a family. I'm pretty sure you cannot apply for her, while she is still overseas, better to confirm with ICA.

Thanks ksl.....I am also thinking in that way...have more doubt whether it make difficult to get long term visa for my wife during process of PR application. That's why I make sure...Thanks ksl for your time...is it any problem in applying alone for citizen?

Until you two have lived together for at least two years here in Singapore, I wouldn't waste my time.
