Lucida has no oven and no towel bars

I am an American relocating to Singapore. My fiancee is a Singapore citizen and she rented us a tiny 1 bedroom at Lucida for an outrageous sum. Today she told me it has no oven and no towel bars. I can see why people say it takes a special breed to be a succesful ex-pat.

Is no oven common in Singapore? I thought that by going with a new high-end apartmet I would get an oven. I also (mistakenly) thought a $5 towel bar would be thrown in with rent over $3k. I have not seen the place, maybe it is so small it just won't work.

Anyways, I am new to the communicty, and you may see a few posts over the next few months from me, until I adjust to the Singapore way. I have visited sg before, so I am only 95% in the dark. Cheers!

I'm surprised for Lucida! I viewed 2 bedrooms and 3 bedrooms at Lucida, and they have 2 ovens (traditional and microwave). They are also one of the few condos in Singapore that have a dishwasher built in!

Are you sure you didn't get con? In addition, I was looking at rental between 1 versus 2 bedroom and noted that the rental difference is $500. For a small price, you get a bigger space. Have you not considered a 2 bedroom at Lucida?
