Hello, I am a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) in Canada and my accounting body has mutual recognition agreements with CIMA (UK) and CPA Australia. This means that I can apply for an ACMA or CPA (Aust) designation without any additional requirements. However, I have come across a few references on the board that say that both designations are not highly regarded in Singapore. (I believe one poster said that the ACMA was worthless in Singapore.)
Can I get some definitive feedback on this issue? Furthermore, do you think the US CPA will help me get a job in Singapore, in general or specifically, as an internal auditor?
