Stroller and a 2 yr old

Post by wannamove » Fri, 16 Sep 2011 4:00 am

I have read varying views on strollers in Singapore and I was hoping some of you can throw in your 2-cents.

I have a 2 yr old who walks reasonably well. I usually take my lightweight Maclaren stroller during my trips as it is easier to pop her in if she gets too tired.

How easy is it to navigate with a stroller in Singapore? Are MRTs and buses stroller friendly (ie will I have time/an opportunity to collapse my stroller and stow it somewhere out of way) especially during rush hour? How about stores? Are they ok with parents pushing strollers in? Given the stories I hear about cramped confines will I be able to walk around stores with my stroller?

Thank you

Have a good search of the Family/Kids forum. It's been discussed umpteen dozen times, along with road tests of the various aspects of the overpriced strollers & other baby transport systems........

I guess I did not explain myself well. I have a stroller - a Maclaren Volvo that I am not sure if I should bring to Singapore. I am just wondering if it would be better if I sell it before I come and decide if I want a stroller or should I just bring it

But thanks

I did do a search and saw the recommendations/pros and cons listed.

Volo is a lifesaver for trips with a 2 year old. You should defenately take it with you, otherwise you will be either stuck at home or will end up buying the same stroller again.
