Hi,

I'm looking for a Mandarin tutor for my son (2 yrs) for private lessons. We are interested in someone who is good at play-based learning and making lessons fun and interesting for young children.

Pls PM me if you know of any good tutors! Thanks!

Hi there
Sorry to barge in on the discussion. I would appreciate your help as I too as looking for a Mandarin tutor for my children. I was thinking of sending them to classes but I guess one to one at home would be even better.
If anyone has a tutor they recommend, please would you PM me?
Thanks so much

Good Chinese Tutor to Recommend

Post by VicStan » Tue, 02 Sep 2014 11:16 pm

Just to share, I have a great Chinese tutor for my twins and daughter, all aged below 15. She is able to speak English pretty well – that was an important requirement for us as we don’t understand mandarin and would like to be able converse with our tutor about our children’s progress.

So far, our kids have been showing more interest than they ever had in Mandarin and picking it up steadily especially in terms of speaking and writing. She is a graduate and has, I believe, more than 4 years of experience under her belt. She is very responsible and most importantly, the kids love her and that is a great motivation for them to listen hard during class!

As far as I know, she is engaged by quite a number of expat parents as well. She seems to be a little busier these days as her schedule fills up pretty fast but if anyone is keen to engage a Chinese tutor,
you can PM me or post here and I’ll pass you her details.

Vic

Hi all, I have just engaged a Chinese tutor for my son. We are very pleased with this recommended tutor after trying a couple others. My son is very active and this tutor is able to grab his attention using visual aids. If anyone needs help in looking for a good tutor, just drop me a pm!

Mandarin class for children

Post by downend » Sat, 18 Oct 2014 2:05 pm

I'm looking for mandarin class for my 14 and 10 years old kids.
It looks like most of the classes available are either for adults or native Chinese children - does anybody know if there are any good classes/tutors teaching conversational Chinese for the children of their age?
