Mid 30s Aussie, new to Singapore, looking for great friends

Postby AussieGem » Tue, 13 Sep 2011 12:00 am

Hi,

I have just moved to Singapore by myself about 3 weeks ago for work. My social circles are currently very limited and would love to meet fun, active 30 somethings who are up for making new friends. It seems like the done thing to do is move to Singapore with your husband or boyfriend. I hope I am not the only non hitched person left in Singapore.

Girls and guys, I would love to hear from you. I know this city can be fun. I just hope I can meet some fun people to experience it

Hi Gem,

I'm English by birth, Aussie by choice, currently living in East Sydney, but heading over to Singapore in mid November. I'd be keen to keep in touch and meet when I arrive.

I'm a single gal, late thirties and also single!!

Hi Gem!
No, you're not alone!
I'm 34/f/British. Been living/working here for over two years now. Admittedly, I didn't come here on my own, but a change of circumstances a short while ago means I'm looking to expand my social circle in SG :)
Feel free to email me on josgonefishing@hotmail.co.uk and perhaps we could meet up on Friday evening, if you're free? I'm looking to organise a small outing for people from the Forum and you are more than welcome to join :D
Cheers,
Jo

Gem,

Lindsay (m, 31, Scottish) and Natalie (f, 27, Australian) are up for drinks. Just arrived here 2 weeks ago.

Cheers

Hi Gem,

I'm glad I'm not alone, I moved up here on my own from Perth about 2 weeks ago. I'm going insane with bordom wondering around the shopping centres by myself. Would love to arrange to meet up for a few drinks or a coffee some time cuz I'm starting to have conversations with myself and thats never good.

My email is nadine.dabadie@gmail.com

Sounds like a good girly crowd gathering here :)
If you can't make my get-together this Friday (as posted separately), how about a mid-week meet-up at Harry's Bar, Robertson Quay next Wednesday at say 7:30pm? 8-)
Who would be up for that?
RSVP (on email or sms)!
Cheers,
Jo

Hello everyone,
I'm keen to meet up, too. I'm female, mid-30's and been living in Singapore for about 3 weeks and teaching at a preschool program. I'm from Oregon, USA and was most recently living on the Oregon Coast in Astoria (do you know of the movie: The Goonies?). I'm moving to a flat in Clementi in October.

Look forward to meeting up soon.

G'day,

Welcome to Singapore! I hope you will have a great time here. I moved here almost 4 years ago before living in Melbourne, Australia for almost 2 years.

I won't be in town next week, but hope to join other activities, gatherings in the coming weeks.

Glad to know you guys in this forum. I registered for this forum when I first came, but totally forgot to log in since. Great to be back here.
