I had a meeting tonight and was on camera when I read this… I had to duck down and switch it off because I was laughing so hard. Too funny!

With the move getting closer, I was curious about what kitchen appliances are considered basic when renting. I am assuming most stuff varies from unit to unit but is there something standard

Do most units come with a
microwave
dishwasher (I have heard that dishwashers are very rare)
fridge
cooking range (electric or gas? 4 burners or 2?)
Oven

Thank you
Don't forget a can opener

Yeah, that one still cracks me up.

But we have a new member above who mentions can openers. Wish they would introduce themselves because we get a lot of fakers on this board.

I already mentioned the electric can opener I bought in the UK which is both a novelty item and conversation piece. But I also have a great manual opener, after a lot of trial and error over the years (most never last and get rusty) I finally found this OXO, and I have to say… it really is the best one ever, hands down. More than 5 years and not a spot of rust or single blemish, it still looks brand spanking new! They must be using stainless steel on all the parts.

Link to it below, but I actually bought mine at TJ Maxx in the US for half this price…

The new member responded to the very first post on the board which was over ten years ago. Seems a little suspicious to me. As I’ve been here for longer I am learning to be more circumspect.
