Have not seen the movie (neither read the book) but I am afraid "maid" and "feelings" are not a part of the same dictionary for majority of the people around. In other words, I would not expect too much of a resonance.

Bwahhhahah (my evil voice). I think there is a lot to be said for having civil discussions aboout maids and the place they hold in SG society--much like the positions maids held in the 1950's and 1960's in the Southern US.

But it's divisive and a slow start to the work week. :wink:
