I am moving to Singapore from Houston and would like to continue my city living that I have grown accustomed to. Is it possible to live in the city in a 1 bedroom apartment/condo for anything less than 4000 SGD? Which is the best district to look into? It's been over a year since I have been in Singapore, and I need all the advice I can get in living there. Thanks.

Yep, you'll find a one bed place for less than 4k. Try the main websites and the
property pages on this website.
You might want to look for units in the clift, the sail, one shenton as a starting point.

We are moving from Houston too. Where in Houston do you stay and when are you moving? We are in the med center area and planning to move in Nov 2011

I live in Midtown. I plan on being there in October. I'm going to miss the Houston Texans run for playoffs, but I think I'll survive.

Pretty neat! I do not think I will miss the Texans much. But college football - yes I will miss that. Good luck with the move

I’m not sure that’s a thing here, unless you hire an interior designer and have them furnish your house for you.
