broken heart

Post by Heartbreak Hotel » Wed, 24 Nov 2004 3:50 pm

You both hit it off so well in the beginning. You thought it would last forever and he/she was the one.

Many months later, you realise the magic is failing and the dream is in tatters. You decide to call things off.

How does one nurse a broken heart? Suggestions?

Mix around

Few suggestions:

1. Mix with friends, socialise with more people, that will help forget.

2. Date someone else, choose your dates, give yourself opportunities to meet new people, who knows..

3. Spend time more activities that you like or try new activities that you've always wanted to try but never had the chance.

4. Go for a trip with friends.

Go and pick up the hottest looking cewek around get half cut and go back home with her for a great time - You'll be so busy trying to avoid her for the next week or so you'll forget about the one that broke ur heart...

A bottle and a half of Jack normally does a great job as well

Great deal

Hey, do you know about the Sunday brunch buffet deal in Hyatt(I think it's Hyatt or Hilton...hmmm)??
Heard you pay about $90 and you can drink till you drop...champagne, red wine, virtually anything....bottomless... Most people simply LOVE it!!

So I hope this great deal nurses any pain........

Btw, are you checking for yourself or the other party?

If you call it off...nothing to nurse so please pass on the deal and be less of a jerk for calling it off.....

[font=Comic Sans MS]Agree with Great Deal. Heartbreak Hotel, if you're the one who called it off in the first place, you shouldn't need to nurse a broken heart to a very much extent. I supposed u don't fancy the person anymore, or for some other reasons, hence the damage won't be too much for u as compared to the dumpee. I think getting to know a new person isn't a good idea at all. If you're still feeling hurt or loving due to the previous relationship, it's impossible to get involved in love game again so soon. Maybe spend some time with yourself and engage in activites which would draw u away from brooding over the issue so much. You could do it. Just be open to yourself, internally and externally! It really sounds like you need to do Do some serious soul searching. By all means spend time with others but also spend time with yourself and to know yourSELF first. Go to the library under shelf 158.. lots of books about self knowledge and issues of the heart, read, talk with people who will listen without judgement but also be prepared for constructive criticism.

If you follow a certain faith, then pray. If you dont beleive in God or a higher power, then know that "This too shall pass". Take care of your health, eat well, drink lots of water, take yr vitamins, get sleep and exercise if possible. Everything in moderation.

Its possible to be broken hearted even if u were the one who broke it off.. so consider the expectations you had when u first got into the relationship.. were they too high and unrealistic? etcv etc..
Good Luck and Get 'Well' soon/1

Read Mars & Venus Starting Over... ok it sounds corny I know, but it sure is hell of a good read :)

Meet people... doesn't matter men or ladies... the objective is, meet people, socialise and the main thing being: Have fun meeting people... u know, the human race comes in all sort of shapes and sizes and colours and subtance... ;)

If u're a cewek, meet some cowok lah... and oh yeah, be a charmer, seduce some Martians ;) Hehehehee...

Be receptive... judging from personal experience, things happen for a reason... am sure, it's a learning experience for many of us here... only serves to allow us to look deeper into ourselves and know better about what we really want :)

And bear in mind:
"Every person you meet along the way, touches your life in a special way."

Sooooo... what're u waiting for????? Vrrrr vrrrrr vrroooommmm!!! ;)

Well, instead of brooding away, have you sat down together with her and ask what really happened? Most broken couples just simply let the matter be swepted under the carpet and stubbornly refused to confront the actual problem or issue. Do not think that your next relationship will be a success, if you people still refuse to do your inner homework well.
