Changing mobile phone after 1 year subscription

Post by cbourlard » Wed, 31 Aug 2011 4:33 pm

Hello,

Bought a samsung galaxy tablet with 2 year subscription and paid like 350SGD from singtel like 1 months ago i stopped at a singtel shop and asked if i can change galaxy tab to anything else since its quite heavy. They told me i can after 1 year, so its almost one year.

Will you ask me for more money or will just shift it with extending subscription time ? And another option i may get relocated , i subscripted for 2 year what happens if i want to turn my line off before 2 year ?

You will be able to keep your current plan and change phones. Phone prices are more expensive when only one year into the contract, otherwise same as new phone at end of two years.

If you relocate, you will be obligated to pay penalties for early cancellation.

I'm sorry but I just want to get this out of my system:

The Galaxy Tab IS NOT a phone!

What did Singtel say when you asked them?

Well, what ever they said applies.

Do you understand?

p.s. Edit to replace rant with a simpler and more general growl.

They just told me i can change after 1 year thats all. Galaxy tab is a basicly phone since you can make calls. If you were saying its not a tablet , i would discuss it with you but as far as i know phone is a device which makes phone calls so its is! Actually when i wear my jean even i can put it in my back pocket lol.

You said it's quite heavy. I think the 7" screen was a clue that it would be, against the Dell Streak (5") and the HTC/Samsung biggies (4.3").

I can also make phone calls with a netbook with a 13" screen but I don't expect it to replace my cellphone.

What language is this? Why would we be asking for money? And stop saying 'Like'... you're not from CA.

Fancy explaining again in English?

Alternatively call up the people who actually know your situation, i.e. Singtel, and irritate them instead.

You could of course post it in your native language.

But don't you think it would help if people here understood what you are asking?
