Starhub Foreign Number Service

Post by iandblack2000 » Sat, 27 Aug 2011 10:55 am

Has anyone used this to allow people in the UK to call a star hub mobile? What kind of UK number do they allocate (01, 02, 0845, etc.)? Can't seem to get this info from Starhub.

I guess you are talking about Pfingo (part of Starhub). The UK number, as well as Singapore, US and several other countries, is supposed to work with voip so you can use it anywhere. Your UK friends will be charged at local rates when they call your Pfingo UK number. You may check their website to find more info. I used it quite long time ago, but not on the mobile.

Anyway, they will give you a number (not free, of course), and your friends in UK can call this number (local call, supposed to be). You can pick up the call on a voip phone (not so many choices in Singapore for the voip phones), or a PC (download something). Probably you can also set it up on your mobile phone (iPhone or Android) if you have a data plan.
