Hoping to relocate with family, many questions!

Post by FrenchieNYC » Fri, 26 Aug 2011 1:49 am

Hello to all,

We are hoping to move to SG next summer with our 2 kids. Our plan is to go there for 2-3 months and look for a job locally.
Here are my questions:
- Is it realistic to go on a tourist visa and hope to find a job there?
- My husband is in IT, does anyone know how difficult it is to find a job there?
- Would it be possible to look for a job in the US in this field?
- How much should we plan on spending for a condo? We are hoping to live on East Coast as we heard it is family friendly.

Thanks for your help!!

Check the posting of someone who went here on a tourist visa:

Consider applying for an EPEC first.

No. Plan on 6 months or more. You can't stay that long on a tourist visa.

Why should it not be possible to look?

S$3000 gets you a small and simple Condo, above S$5000 a nice one for a family.
