My husband and I are very interested in relocating to singapore. where is the best place to find info on marine based employment?

http://www.m-i-link.com sometimes displays jobs for the marine industry. Alternatively, http://www.jobstreet.com has quite a bit of shipping / logistics stuff. Click on 'Singapore' and search under 'shipping'. You can also try to contact shipping companies directly. Doa google for 'Riverchelles', they specialise in Marine / Logistics job placements.

We will look at those sites, we just needed a starting point. He is first officer at a dredging company at the moment and is comming to the end of his master cert so as usual it is left to me!

Couple of questions, is he still looking for a sea-going career or does he want a land-based job? I'm guessing you gus are from the UK, if that is so and he is looking for a job at sea, i would not recommend going on a local contract as it's 6 months on / around 2 months off. If he's looking for a land-based / semi land-based job, I suggest walking into companies and see what they have, as most jobs in the field (apart from shipping execs/clerks) are not listed. click on 'directory' and you will get the contact details of the companies. The contact person(s) name(s) may be slightly out-dated, but the adresses are the same. The main site offers a lot of etails that might also be of interest.

One other company tht may not be listed, but worth checking out, is ACPL (Asian Cable Ship Pte. Ltd.). Will be good if he holds a Dynamic Positioning (DP) certificate.

I worked in Singapore for 2 months in a ship managment company as an accountant, but things didnt turn up well at singpore so I have to comeback to India, I am looking out for a Job in Singpapore now , my skill set values s$ 5.5K to 6K in Singapore. but i was working for just $s3.5K
Please help me to get a job there, any transition job of 2.5K to 3.5 K will also help me to achive my targets.
Please guide me how to get a job again in singapore ,I do have my stay arrangements in Singapore.

At the moment I think he is looking at anything in the industry, however as most of us know shipping in the UK is a bit of a bummer at the moment and expanding his knowledge is the way he wants to go.
A new climate would certainly be my choice!
I grew up on ships going in and out of Singapore so it already seems a clear choice to me.
