I have two, 4 yo and 1 20-month. You may get from the regional library. I think you may be able to make your kid a library.

Some Community Centres have children's libraries with lots of books for all ages. My daughter (2 years) loves the one at Bukit Timah CC.

Bookaburra in United Square and the Forum. Kinokunyia in Ngee Ann City. Also check out opentrolley.com - I've used this for hard to find books in a series (i.e. Flat Stanley, Captain Underpants). There is no shipping charge and the books are quite reasonable.

I buy all my books online from a site called the book depository.

UK site, cheap, free shipping.

Is it Bukit Timah community center? When I googled, that didn't come up.

Yes, it's Bukit Timah CC.
It may not have a webpage.

They have a kids library in Clementi too, it's in the void deck of an HDB block, near the Clementi MRT. Lots of little people and parents use the service. My little person always preferred the library.

Yes, you can get a library card/membership for your child. It's more expensive if you're not a PR, but still better than buying books.
