Help! Chulia Street??

Post by new girl » Tue, 23 Nov 2004 10:43 pm

Hi,

My husband's work may be transferring us to the Singapore office - we're currently living in the USA (chicago).

His office is located on Chulia Street and from my random internet researching it sounds like we want to be near Orchard Road - are those near each other?

Help please :-)

Also - about how much per month do you think you need to live over there? His company has yet to give us an exact number per month but it will include enough to hopefully store our furniture in the States and get a furnished place in Singapore....

Thank you!!!

Chulia st? ABN Amro perhaps?, it's not very far from Orchard Rd, in any case it is very central. As for how much you need to live, that depends on how much you can spend. Singapore is a place where you can spend a little or a hell of a lot.

Yes ABN :-)

Where would you recommend as a good area for a married couple with no kids in their mid-20s?

Then again his company probably has corporate apartments...hmmm....

Best way to get to ABN is via MRT (train), unless he takes a cab everyday. So try and choose an apartment within 3-4 MRT stops, and walking distance to MRT. Somerset has loads of condos within walkin distance, you are also walking distance to Orchard Rd.
