Wow, Joe "the gaffe machine" Biden just doesn't do it to himself. He somehow gained an equivalent reality distortion field for himself! (Have you read about a similar brawl with the reporters when he was giving a speech?)

I was impressed to see Asians show that much spirit.

Supposedly the Chinese players are serious brawlers. Their limited English (of mostly vulgarities) helped them get their A%$ served on their home court. Still a shame though--I think everyone was unhappy.

WOW! Chinese take-out look upset? Is that even possible or are you using a racist slur?

Yeah, DB, you are right. It's not very nice, but at the same time, is it any different from calling us AngMohs or Honkies from HK? As it's the written word, we don't have the pleasure (?) of hearing the tone of voice being used. :-k

Oh gawd...

It is in Chat, Jokes, Rubbish.
The linked video is a situation with clear racial dividing lines, so the scene is set if you like.
The humour is that it is a goodwill game that apparently goes 180 degrees wrong. That in and of itself can be seen as both ironic and amusing.
The use of the term chinkies, is a base play on the kind of people involved in the fight in the video and is meant facetiously. You know, as one might make an accompanying comment in a 'red-neck style' if you were linking a Youtube video concerning red-necks in an amusing situation.

Regardless of which forum it is posted in, JR8, it's still not a nice term.

I don't think it is a persons duty to proceed and ensure that they have no risk of ever offending anybody. Surely that would be impossible?

I happened to read this earlier today. Perhaps you might read it and consider what hardship encompasses.

It's not a matter of agreeing all the time. However, I was taught to think before I speak, put yourself in their shoes (bring on the jokes) blah blah blah. Maybe women think differently.

((Being happy and positive erases those wrinkles!!))
