Looking for iPod armband

Post by ElHani » Thu, 18 Aug 2011 10:26 pm

Hey, guys (and girls!) I love jogging and I always hit the threadmill in the gym or just jog around my neighbourhood.

My problem is, I usually have to stuff it into my pocket and it's really inconvenient. I've seen a few people plastering their iPods onto their arm using some sort of armband.

Are there any areas in the City Hall area that sells something like that?

They'd be found in sports shops (e.g. Royal Sporting House, Sports Link). You can check Funan or scour Peninsula Shopping Center.

For example, Nike calls their armband wallet.

Right, right, I guess I'll be going down today to check it out! Do their shops close early on Friday though? Anyone knows?

No shops close early on Friday or Saturday. Happy Shopping! No Blue laws here!

Or if you want, you can go down on Saturdays or Sundays instead... Surely your weekend can't be that packed, right? : )

Worse come to worst, ask your colleague to help you make a purchase or simply rush down during your lunch hour!

Cheers!

This is certainly ironic as I cannot imagine a country more focused on selling iPod accessories.

For example off the top of my head I'd estimate that something like fully 80 of 240 outlets at Toa Payoh Mall alone exist on selling phone covers.

If you have any problems, you know where to head!

Tell me about it.

I was looking for a bumper case for my phone and something like 4 out of 5 stores/stalls I asked just sold iPhone accessories.

If you ever want to make fun of iSheep, you could always use this observation about Singapore.

One could also make post-modern observations about how Apple is bigger than Exxon-Mobil. Partakes in no corporate philanthropy. Is downright profiteering and evil and yet maintains some kind of weird 'woodstock' love-in from the mug punters.

It's Steve Jobs' mutant ability--the ability to create and impart his reality distortion field into his products. That's the good thing and bad thing about Apple. Because of Steve Jobs, iFans treat Apple with religious fervor and zealotry--I think someone even did a research and found the same areas of the brain activated by the brain are also activated in iSheep.

Bad thing too because once Grand Jefe goes, the reality distortion field goes with him. His apprentice, Tim Cook, while a competent executive, lacks this mutant ability.

So, Steve Jobs, while no engineer or inventor is a great and charismatic marketer. Charisma can't be taught.

Oh goodie; can I have it? I could use some extra charisma right now. I keep misplacing those things.
