Can you get PR if you are separated?

Post by dippies » Tue, 16 Aug 2011 1:46 pm

Hi,

I am in Singapore since the last 2.5 years on Employment Pass. I am married but separated. My wife has never come down to Singapore. My marital status as per records is married. I am going to change my marital status to "Separated". Now I am also planning to apply for PR. Can I get PR without applying for my wife's?

Thanks
Dippies

Would probably be difficult. For that matter, it would be probably difficult if you were together as well at the moment. But, nothing stopping you from trying. The worst they can do is say no. At the moment, I'd worry more about your next EP renewal.
