What is a school shoe?

One of the International Schools we applied to lists black school shoes as part of the uniform. What is a school shoe? I have girls, if it makes a difference. Where do I buy these near Orchard?

Just go to the local uniform shop or go to the nearest Bata Shoe store to the school. Tell the clerk which school and they will know which school shoe is required. Some require black some require white, some will allow white trainers with a splash of colour trim while others have to be plain all white canvas "tennis" shoes, not "trainers".

You can find good quality leather black school shoes for International School at Shooz 4 Kidz. The store is located in United Square shopping mall, near Novena MRT, which is 5 mins from Orchard Road.

Stride Rite (Forum/United Square) and Clarks (ION) have school shoes and someone to fit children. Also where I buy our school uniforms - CPK in Funan Center - has a very large selection of Clarks in almost every size.

Bata also carries school shoes. Or at least they used to, when mine were still in school.
