Hi All,

Here is my 2 cents worth:-

a. Paulo Coelho is a good author. we could do one of his books.

b. others i would suggest are :-
1. Dan Brown's new book The Symbol;
2. Has anyone heard of Dorothy Koomson? she's a good read too. Her books are mostly family orientated, however, i reckon the men won't be into reading them as much as the ladies; and
3. There's also Tony Parsons. His books are hilarious.

c. I suggest we do smthg light and easy for our 1st try. Once we get the hang of things, we can go for books with more depth.

d. With respect to meeting point, can I suggest somewhere central? great parking & easy to commute?

that's all for now.

I'm really looking forward to hearing from you.

cheers,
Far

Anybody? :)

Have heard from a few of you. Since we are meeting in less than 2 weeks, I wouldnt want to pick a book for the first one...still think its better to just meet up first and then choose a book.

More venue suggestions welcome.

I'd be interested as well. For a venue, how about somewhere with comfortable couches (something like the Book Cafe, not necessarily there)?

I'm Interested but I can't necessarily commit, as my husband works in the evenings, unless people don't mind me bringing my baby along. Otherwise, rhe only days I can do are Monday/Tuesday.

Shall we meet at The Book Cafe? They do have books and plug for laptops to use.

If everyone is keen please let me know I will make a reservation so we can have a better cushion seat.

I'm not going to be able to make it tomm because of a work related commitment :( However, would suggest the rest go ahead and meet up first:

Venue: The Book Cafe
Time: 7.30pm onwards

Alternately, we could meet up on Sunday afternoon 2pm, same venue.
