world war11 veterans mmemorial trip to Singapore

Post by 123libuse » Sun, 14 Aug 2011 10:14 pm

I have the honour to be hosting a British veterans (ex Jap POWs) commemoratve trip to Singapore-Changi etc. As there isn't a big budget for the trip, we are looking for local friends who can make the trip possible without expensive tour guides.

We basically need an eyes and ears who can advise us where to stay who knows what is fair and reasonable price-wise etc. Anyone who could give up a little time to accompany us to Changi war cemetery, as well as a brief visit to Raffles would save us considerable financial outlay.

These very proud old gentlemen could not offer much more than a foto keepsake, an autograph, or even a pint or two!!

Most are over 90 and realistically this will be the last trip for them.

Cheers,

John

Keep us posted of the logistics, John.

I'll gladly lend a hand and rope a few others in for such a worthy cause.

Hi

I would love to help them out: meet them at the airport or accompany them on their tour. Please pm with the details when it's sorted out.
