Hi all,
I recently joined the forum and posted and introductory post regarding moving out to Singapore as a 22-year old recent graduate and preparing an adequate budget to stick to. I'm moving out from San Francisco in a couple months and need some educated guess at how much I will be spending to keep my self entertained for a year abroad. In short, "going out" is my favorite pass time so I will likely be going to a bar or club a couple times a week (something that I experienced was quiet expensive on my recent trip).
I know it isn't much info, but any insight regarding how much I should expect to spend on entertainment during my time abroad is helpful. Seeing as housing will be the largest monthly expense I will be facing, given a ~$3,500 SGD/month salary, what advice would you give?
Thanks in advance

A beer in a "bar:" 13-17 bucks. A cocktail, 15-25. I'm not sure anymore of the prices because I stopped doing it. Guess why.

If you just made a trip to Singapore a few weeks ago then you already know how much entertainment costs, so what further information do you need?

You know how many times you want to go out and how much you drink, just do the maths

Yes, but that was also as a post-graduation vacation in addition to a job search. I certainly won't be spending as much during a 1-year stay and wasn't picky on prices/places I went out to. I'm asking given many people on the forum have been living in Singapore (or will be) for some time under similar conditions, what type of entertainment expense should be accepted given various activities?

I'm not sure what kind of entertainment you are looking for but there is a lot to do here....ranging from lots of free stuff to plenty of expensive stuff. Pretty easy to set your budget and find stuff within in.
I include eating out in my entertainment budget, but we also include activities for the kids.
