just a party pooper ..

9 out of 10 'horror maid' stories, purpoted to depict Singapore maids, turned out to be Malaysian (oh, in Malaysia, the same video goes as Indonesian maid) and the like ..

As for the cases of in the news, they are virtually nothing, in terms of percentage, when you consider that there are almost 400,000 maids here .. so, one maid doing such a thing, is .0000025% ?? or so ??

And if you are hitting the panic button for some maid who mixed urine in her employers meal and all .. well, firstly you need to ask what made that maid do it .. (not that I am condoning her .. ) and secondly you need to see how the employer was treating her .. Singapore is a small place, so, for example, a man going mental and throwing flower pots from his apartment is top news of the day .. and if you are quoting them, then the whole country is mental ..

No more words .. I guess this thread has run it's course ..

cheers

Hi, actually it's nothing to do with the employers, for some cases. The reason why some maids did this is because they believe by doing so, their employers will obey to and agree with them of whatever they wish to do.

Hmmm...I agree with you for the rest. :)

And I've been not to order noodle soup in China if you're an obvious foreigner.

Maybe I am bit fluffed up for the day .. when I came to Singapore, a guy told me to avoid a particular mutton soup shop because they apparently put blood to keep you hooked .. I ate there, and till day, I never got hooked to that food .. and did a dozen plus of my colleagues who used to eat there, occasionally and none of the dozen of us ever felt a craving or being pulled to that shop .... oh, the guy who warned me goes there every week, and since he is hooked, he assumed it is the shop doing black magic .. maybe he is the problem ..

You should check whether you employed a maid or a voodoo witches and if you engage such maids who give you the creeps, you don't deserve a maid .. .. and I am starting to think that I should shut up, lest I get dragged into your black-magic beliefs ..

cheers ...
