Hampers

I find that many Singaproeans send out hampers to relatives or friends, during festive seasons.

Do Expats here in Singapore do that as well ?

Depends on the environment that they are in I would think.

I always swore I would not buy a hamper as a gift.....

That was until I came to Singapore and I inexplicably bought a TWG hamper for a christmas present to my parents...

It was actually received rather well!

Yeah. And when someone is ill, send then a hamper with Essence of Chicken, a Sunflower and some unidentifiable orange fruit in it.

The gift is for its recipient not for the sender so if I had such relatives / friends who I knew would appreciate this then why not?

Sounds like you've seen a few of those with your current predicament......
