PR application chance for approval?

Post by chandra19998 » Sun, 24 Jul 2011 2:34 pm

Hi guys,

I am 23 years old Indonesian chinese graduated from a reputable college in Indonesia. I joined a large bank here as a graduate training program in IT for about 1 year 3 months after i got my degree from indonesia. My salary is $4800 with an allowance in lieu of CPF which bring up to more than 5K a month. I am now applying for PR for 3 months but not yet hear any news from ICA. Will the chance be high if my employer is well known and large company? How long will it take for my PR to be approved? Can I buy a public house here with PR status? It has been extremely difficult to find housing now in Singapore and my girlfriend is moving to live with me soon, do you guys know of any flat for less than 1.5K a month?

A bit of research on this board will give you sufficient food for thought. Frankly, it's doubtful. But stranger things have happened. Working for a large MNC is not a guarantee of anything, including a stable job.

Oh I see, unfortunately there is nothing I can do except for waiting and waiting. It is driving me crazy sometime. Well Strange things do happens and i hope it happens for good not for bad. When i first came to singapore, i got a job with 1.8k in a small company and my S pass was rejected but then this bank offer me 4.8K and MOM immediately offer me the S pass. I guess they just look for level of salary and the name of the company. I do hope to have the PR, without it I cannot sponsor my girlfriend to Singapore to work, and it is too hard for some company to sponsor her as her english is not so good at the moment

Even if you do get PR, this doesn't mean you can then 'sponsor' your girlfriend to work here, unless you are planning on setting up a business and employing her that is. You can try to get her a LTSVP but that's doesn't allow her to work, just to live here

@Jaycee, a Singapore PR can sponsor his spouse for Singapore PR status. But whatever, they have rejected my application  so guess that I need to fix my application and appeal to get mine first before thinking of bringing my girl friend here :???:

I resisted in replying to this thread but I think you sound like a broken record to me

Only when you are married , will you be able to sponsor her for PR but ICA will make sure you jump over hoops before that
For eg, if she is on WP here , she needs to ask MOM permission to marry you if you already a PR.
PR will be impossible. LTSVP yes but the length of visa depends.
This only possible if you are a PR
If Gf you can forget about this route . You have to apply thru MOM under common law marriages

You are desperate but you are knocking on the brick wall . Why don't you work for a couple of months more and make it to 2 yrs or so then on apply or reappeal your PR.
