Employment Gap in CV ( Please advice me )

Post by sq1985 » Thu, 21 Jul 2011 1:28 pm

Hi, Everyone.

I was a ex-crew for another national carrier for 2 years in 2008-2010,

since I left the airlines, I tried different type of work , yet it didn't work

out and to my expectation. As a result, I changed 6 jobs during 2010

till now. I'd like to know will it be much concern when they consider my

application? you know , I may probably made up some excuses like I

was being a full time private tutor or freelance worker...etc.

But will the SIA HR have a strict check on my employment record?

PS, I really want to re-join the industry again, please help. :???: :???:

As long as you have what it takes to be a cabin crew, it should not matter what you have been up to for the past two year. Everyone has different life experiences.

If you are a bad liar,my advise is to be honest if they start asking more questions on your past experience. Saying you haven't found any job you love more than the airlines is fine. Of cos you can go the route of saying you were doing something else. But if you are a bad liar and not convincing, it will just give off a dishonest or "funny" vibe to the interviewers. They will not know exactly what is wrong but you have just set their imagination wild about what you are trying to hide. What they are imagining may be much worse than just not finding a job you liked.
