Need advice on S pass / EP
Need advice on S pass / EP
Hi all, Looking for some advises. I'm holding a S pass and it is expiring few month later. I have been here for about 2 years, university gradurated from Hong Kong. I checked from mom website that I should not be a problem to get an EP based on the criterias actually.
I understand that EP holder get a higher chance for PR application, do you think I can ask my HR to apply an EP instead of renewing a S pass for me? And do you think I can start to apply for PR if the EP is conformed?

Your chances are near 0, to say it softly, as the "normal" current thread is the opposite. A few EP holders (including myself) were downgraded to S-Pass even with salary rises and position advance.
Said that, it will not hurt to apply for "EP and if rejected I also will consider S Pass". Chances are near 0, but it might happen.
Of course, don't do the mistake of applying for "EP only", except if you want to prepare your bags and call a taxi to Changi Airport.
My sincere advice
