Stem cell treatment for hairloss

Post by pinkaddict » Tue, 19 Jul 2011 6:40 pm

I've been reading up on hairloss articles recently as my hairloss has been quite bad lately. I wonder if anyone heard of stem cell treatment for hairloss? Recently I saw postings on Svenson's facebook that the root cause of male pattern balding is due to the stem cells that make new hair. I wonder if this applies to female pattern balding too. Read up abit on the stem cell therapy and thought I could share.

Anyone tried this treatment before? Does it really works? Do share with me thanks! :)

there's only one way to treat balding. medicine (eg, propecia). from a licensed DOCTOR.

if anyone's telling you they provide stem cells treatment for anything other than marrow-related problems... run!

FYI, hair and scalp treatments are NOT stem cell treatments... they're more like snake oils... or at best, a non-prescription salve!

From what I've heard, the horse shampoo (yes, shampoo for horses) Mane N Tail can treat hair loss. Anecdotes abound such that the company made a commercial targeting humans.

Well, we've got a few horse's arses on here. Maybe we should get them to do a test run.

many hair treatments contain (illegal) some amount of minoxidil.

this blog makes for interesting reading since it's straight from the horse's mouth (pun intended):

Stay away from those hair treatment advertisements etc!!! They don't even sincerely care for clients' concern, the bottom line is they just care for how much profit they can take from you.
