Made to measure bed

Post by steeps » Mon, 18 Jul 2011 10:27 am

Good Morning,

Has anyone had a bed made to measure in Singapore? If so, do you have any recommendations of firms?

Many thanks

Hi,

Yes, have had a bed made to measure here. Unsurprisingly, it is manufactured overseas, the 2 major p
Aces are Malaysia and Inndonesia. in my case, was made in Malaysia, took quite a while. Have had it for 6 years, it's been very solid and worth the investment , it's not cheap.

got it made from a place in furniture mall, slumberland. The thing to think about it's not just the bed, it's also the mattress and the bedclothes and that's the real expense.

Cheers

I have had made-to-measure mattresses made a few times. The Four Season Hotel can make Sertas and Sealys up in any size, but they are very expensive. If it's the mattress you plan on using every night for the next 20 years, you may want to look into it. You literally walk through the lobby and order it from the gift shop. It solved my husband's back problems, but it cost a bomb.

We've also bought US-sized bed frames and the furniture store made up the custom mattress to fit. They didn't allow for a bed linens and the mattress fits the frame too well, the bed is almost impossible to make up.

If you have a mattress custom made, make sure you take into account the mattress size should be slightly smaller than the frame to allow for bed linens and depending on the design of the frame, to give yourself some room to tuck things in.

Try Robinson's at Centrepoint too, they also make custom mattresses.
