Any recommendation for baby sitter?

Post by miranista » Fri, 15 Jul 2011 6:03 pm

Hi! I am new in Singapore and wondering if someone can recommend us a good babysitter.
My boy is going to be 1 year old soon. I want my boy to be taken care by a good experience babysitter you know, not just anybody.

We are living in a Service Apartment so live-in helper is not an option for us.
Maybe she could come to our place twice a week. Our place is near Orchard area.

Thank you in advance.

Hi there.

How about kizroo & mamaroo at Tanglin Shopping Centre? I drop off my kids there while I go for my yoga classes. I think they can arrange the babysitter to come to your place as well.

My kids are having a great time there with the babysitters, and they have good hospitality, too. I heard it is run by Japanese management from my friend.

Well I hope you could find good sitter for your boy.

Cheers

You drop your kids off there, but you only know it's run by Japanese because your friend told you so? :-k

Yes, and fuss around, that you will have to provide the food for the babysitter, pay transportation charges (not only at night, but for every trip, despite the timing), that you cannot have one babysitter for the entire day (I mean 8am to 6pm, not 24 hours) because "they are mothers too" and most likely few more, which I didn't hear (I heard all the above, though).
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them.

Miranista, if you live in a Serviced Apartment, you may start asking at the information counter. They usually have a list of babysitters. Go to the playground/swimming pool and ask other mothers there, maybe they will be able to help.
