Did a search; a couple of names popped up. However, I'd like to know which acts do you recommended as good Singaporean stand up comedy? I'd like to know what the community here enjoy.
Links to sample clips welcome but in English please because I wouldn't understand if it weren't.
PS
Guessing that some people won't get it, no Russell Peters!

Sorry - I thought that the title of the post was the joke
There really isn't a stand-up comedy scene in Singapore at all. About 2 years ago The Comedy Club was started by some expats - Jonathan & TJ (some may remember him as a quizmaster) - which has monthly shows with imported comics. TJ has returned to the US, but Jonathan is still around.
Would you consider Kumar as stand-up comedy?

Guessing from the responses--or lack thereof--I think I got my answer to the question I
didn't ask directly. I posted the question to validate something.

Kumar is pretty good. Don't sit too near the stage though. Unless you want to be part of the show.

But that's more fun
I was extremely impressed with him(?) on his response when I told him I came from South Africa - without missing a beat (s)he said "you know - I was sooo disappointed - I spent a week there and didn't get raped once"

You obviously haven't listened to Kumar in the last 7 or 8 years then. Has been.

Oh I am so sorry. Why not try Hossan Leong, he may not be as funny as you but give him a try.

Finally, you actually said something that makes sense. "I am so sorry"
You certainly are.

Sorry to dig up an ancient post but are there any comedy clubs still running? I'm in desperate need of some light live comedy relief.

Home Club is still playing Comedy Masala on Tuesdays...and I think Blue Jaz also has a comedy club. Can't remember when, though. To Google!
My thread...
