Using an HDB address for business correspondence

Post by NWD » Fri, 15 Jul 2011 11:14 am

Hello,

I am a DP holder. Before moving to Singapore, I lived and worked in the Netherlands. My ex-employer in the Netherlands recently contacted me and asked if I could help them creating sort of "visual" representative office in Asia. I'm staying in an HDB unit and am wondering if it would be a problem using my HDB address for business correspondence. Let me clarify that no business activities will be done in my unit. What they wanted is to create an image that their company has a point of contact in Asia. I will be receiving posts, if any, from the clients in Asia and forwarding them to the main office.
I'd really appreciate your advices whether there will a problem using an HDB address in this matter.

Thanks in advance.
NWD

Yes, under the Home Office Scheme. As usual with Singapore there are a few hoops to jump through, but it is possible.
