Need Advice - Landlord won't return my Holding Deposit

Right. Now on what basis could the landlord sue you? Have you signed into some contractual obligation? Did you look at the LOI.... what does it say?

p.s. Speaking as a landlord I have some difficulty understanding people who hand over $$$'s, have no idea what they're agreeing to, then worry what they've agreed but won't read what they've signed. With the best will in the world (and I'm all for landlord registration, statutory deposit holding etc) you can see why some opportunistic landlords do take the mickey.

I think his problem is that no-one likes him, full stop. So he comes on the internet to gain some human interaction as browsing porn sites 12 hours can get a little lonely, expecially when his right hand doesn't give him any pillow talk
