Hello guys :D

I currently live in Thailand but plan to try finding a job in Singapore.
I have been reading this topic and my enthusiasm about finding the job is decreasing because no one has shared a positive experience but posted how hard it is to find the job for foreigners.

Is it really hard as people do say or those are just some rear cases?

Kind regards

Well, most people who post on forums generally do so because of frustrations or rejections. Few, unless they have been surfing the net for a while and have already found this board (like you have), once approved don't normally think about going all over the net looking for forums to post about their success. Therefore, forums generally tend to get more bad luck cases than good luck cases.

However, as an HR manager, I can vouch that things ARE as bad as they look. There are people getting hired, but you need to really be bringing something to the table when you go for the interview. So, bring it on. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. However, if unsuccessful, you might need to have deep pockets to sustain yourself as it's not cheap here. Singapore is now one of the top 10 most expensive cities in the world for expats.

Thanks for reply :)

Honestly, I don't plan to go and search but to search and go.
However, I am not fascinated with Singapore especially but with this part of the World. I've been also trying Vietnam and Korea.

Do you have any info about those two countries? :D

i don't think you'll like the reception in korea unless you join a non-korean company.

My target are small and middle companies and I am gonna definitely try those 3 countries. I usually say to people back to my country it's hard to find jobs here because I don't want them to be my competition here but this part of the world is definitely a paradise and nothing's difficult like back home

PS This post may need to be deleted by admin because we don't wont to have more competitors
