What's up with the obsession with water?
OK, that's funny! It's kind of a DUH reaction. Dead bodies, no arrests (o.k. ONE arrest) and no furor. There were candlelight vigils and signs erected near my place in DC when a body was found--here people just go MEH and move on. Strange, very strange. Even the little kid who was murdered by his aunt didn't create much more than a Damn, poor kid comment. Really???

Well the people here are too stressed to bother about all these. Heck they even say that their lives are complicated enough for them to deal with...boffenl wrote:OK, that's funny! Remember the dude about 2 years ago who refused to give up his seat to a pregnant woman on MRT? When he was confronted, he said something to the effect, "Life is already hard enough so why I should reward her for bringing another life into this world?' That was during the economic crisis...
Anybody see the ST post yesterday about a serial killer on the loose in SG--SINCE ANOTHER DEAD BODY WAS FOUND IN A RESERVOIR!
(URL CENSORED DUE TO COPYRIGHTS ISSUE)
Yikes--and still they say murder rate is down. Really? What about the crazy slasher in Woodlands earlier this week. People are going nuts.

Speaking for myself, I refrain from commenting when case facts are not available.
