Cecil st is bang in the middle of the city CBD are you looking for business address? or Accommodation?

I know there is google as well as there is a propery section in this forum which contains lot f info.. I cudn't find in which district cecil street is located and I'm new to singapore. Say travelin 40 km in my place will take 1 hour and I know that is not the situvation in Singapore and hence if any one could give me a personalised adivce on this matter ( accomodation and cost of livin), I will be much greatful to them..
