EntrePass Employee Requirements

Post by Convolous » Sun, 10 Jul 2011 2:56 pm

Hi,

I have been on an employement pass in Singapore for almost 2 years now working for a large firm. I am planning on starting a web start-up in Singapore with some a Singapore locals as co-founders.

I have been looking at the EntrePass requirements outline at: http://www...com/immigration-work- ... neur-visa/

My main concern is the Total business spending ($100K) and two local employee requirements.

We have the $50K capital requirement, but that would be our funding for the entire year, not $100K.

Do the local co-founders count as "local employees"? Also we will be using a lot of local contracters.

Thanks for any help!
Toby

Local employees will be employees that are on the CPF roles as full time staff that contribute to CPF. If the founders are willing to work & pay CPF as salaries, as opposed to drawing director's fees, then you might make it for the first year.

There are rules/guidelines but they will take it on a case-by-case scenario.
