There are so many charity programs here! What are your thoughts?

Duh? There's no government-run social safety net in Singapore, so people would literally starve to death on the streets if not for charities.

Are you sure people will starve to death by not running charities? The fact is Singaporeans are compassionate and generous in forking out $$$. Another fact is if you own a shop in Singapore there are many people who tend to come into your shop asking you for donations and if you don't donate, you will find that Singapore Government will find trouble by sending you letters that say you never pay ur bills etc all sorts of nonsense.

Could you please elaborate on your conspiracy theories? This sounds fascinating.
