Both good films too-I feel like he's been fabulous in everything but none of his films have been the sort that I would consider to be a cut above. Good movies but not knocking my socks off yet. Hopefully his next one...

haha I loved Jurassic Park... I read the book and watched the movie countless times... At the time the effect blew me away.... Same as the Matrix effects when that came out...

As for 12 Monkeys I think Brad Pitt is great. He is very versatile and 12 Monkeys is a great example of some of the quirky roles he takes.

Both safely deserve to be on my favorite movie list for me :)

Gangs of new york, body of lies, shutter island. He's got much better since he was that fresh faced little turd in titanic!! I actually think he chooses some really good scripts to work on now....

Gangs of New York almost made it to my list, it's just a little long (and dare I say self indulgent) for my taste. I do love DDL like crazy. I feel that way about most Scorsese, actually, although I did love The Last Temptation of Christ and The Last Waltz. Should have put those on my first list!
Leo's been in some great films, and I love him, but I just haven't been blown away yet.

Is that the Oz soap? We never got that back home so I can't say that I do.

Anyway, another guy classic: Fight Club.

Maybe I should get around to reading the book.

Yep, I can't remember who he played in Neighbours.

Another of his films that was a decent watch was LA Confidential

It was surreal and yet enjoyable for me.

On an unrelated note, I watched the life of David Gale a few weeks back - quite a clever film and Kevin Spacey and Kate Winslet were really good in it.

And I never thought I'd say this, but I thought Matthew McConnaughy was really good in the Lincoln Lawyer!

ah... me thinks favorite film, not favorite films. too many to list... : )
leslie nielsen was a legend, you are definitely correct waaaaay too many films to try and fit them all into a top 15. I think most of his films would be in my full list of favorites.
I like Leslie Nielsen too but actually these are the directors (Trio: Abrahams and Zuckers). They are behind all the Airplanes, Top Secret and the Naked Guns. They created/promoted LN as majority knows him. Unfortunately they, and later some others, exploited this gender (absurd/parody and background action comedy) a bit too much and it lost a lot from its charm. Airplane 2 has literally nothing to offer comparing to the part one.
I like TS most of the mentioned because it has some very nicely camouflaged scenes at the background. You blink your eyes and you may miss it. I.e. at 2.22 below, still within the opening credits:
