these clinics are usually not manned by specialists, just regular GPs with a certificate dabbling in aesthetic/cosmetic procedures.

Dear Joemy123,
I think your friend would probably get a fair idea by reading the magazines and joining our forum, and searching aesthetic services on the net, especially if she has done some stuff in her country already. If she feels comfortable with a reputable Dr whose practice is largely aesthetic medicine based, then she should look up the doc's credentials and get a feel for who's out there, what's in, what works, and who provides that service.
I see an aesthetic doc, and have been doing so for a while, cos I'm comfortable with her. I think that Dr/patient bond is certainly an important one, with mutual trust, respect and expectations balanced in a happy milieu.
