New to Singapore? - Credit Card option to avoid

Post by leeminy » Tue, 28 Jun 2011 5:20 pm

OK if you're new here, and need to register for a credit card
avoid C*t*
I have had sooooo many cases where the card is simply never delivered!

2 years ago I was new in Singapore
and registered for a visa card.
Days after approval the card was no where to be seen.
after having numerous frustrating phone calls for days, the bank manager had to personally come to my house at 10pm to get my card to me before i left for a business trip
huge pain in the (u know where)

few weeks back, I reported a loss,
I was told to receive a replacement card but i still have not received it yet
they have totally incompetent staff who can not for some reason communicate with their delivery staff!!
or they say they'll call u back after checking with dispatchers and just never call u!

I see how you're applying the "positive thinking" here haha way to go seriously

I don't think i need to justify the "Big deal" to you in detail other than that it has caused major frustration and I felt the need to warn others (+vent a little)

i am aware i can switch to another bank and I have done that already
Thanks. very much.

Can't you just request the card be sent to the branch and come there to pick it up? (branch gives you a call when it arrives)

if it's citibank, I've had no issues whatsoever.

I picked up all my new cards from their office at City Hall MRT station, a couple hours after I applied.
