How long does EPEC take?

Post by athard » Tue, 28 Jun 2011 12:20 pm

Hello,

I applied for the EPEC on June 10th. On June 11th, I was sent an email to submit certain papers online and I did. Since then, I have not heard anything. I check online and my status is still pending.

I sent an email a week ago and I still haven't heard anything?

How long does it take to receive an approval or denial? Is there any other course of action that I can take? Please advise.

I thought that the 3-5 week period was after the EPEC was approved. I am still on pending status. Is that now 3-5 weeks? According to their site, it should be 4 days before I know if I am approved or not.

You already have your response. Pending. How long is a piece of string? Are you sitting at home holding your breath? If so, stop. Breath. Get along with your life. If and when there's a decision made, they will notify you. As pointed out on another thread, the are currently overload due to people trying to take advantage of the system before the doors are closed tight.

I forgot to mention, I have already called and left several messages. I have even emailed them several times. I was just wondering what the timeline is because their emails to me initially said four days. Also, I did some research and many people have received approval in 2-3 days.

How can you compare your application with others ? No two application will be the same . Even you have the same degree or masters or whatever. Moreover every application is assessed on its own merit.
The reply from MOM is more of a guideline albeit timeframe.
Have you gone down personally to see MOM yourself ?

Which bit of 'Standard processing time is four-five weeks' is eluding you?
